Experience mobility
For the Max Bögl Group and their ambitious prestige project – the urban maglev TSB – we implemented an interactive sales and presentation tool that is just as unique as the product itself.
All in one app
This might sound familiar – over the course of a project lots of material from different sources accumulates in different places. As most of these pieces may have a right to exist, this stir-fry of data is not the most suitable nor effective way to present and pitch to interested clients. In situations like these you need to answer questions quickly, convincingly and from one single, integrated source. This is why we have identified the values of the TSB and put it all into one app.
Building worlds
The lynchpin of the application is the main navigation: an explorable infrastructure with a virtual TSB. This is where the sales representative can talk playfully and casually about the advantages of the train in a modern city and, if required, access the underlying information directly via the integrated, value-adding menu items.
Content creation right from the start
Real test tracks and images of the Transport System Bögl already existed, but there wasn't material of that kind for a use case scenario in a megacity. Therefore we sketched the most common scenarios together with the customer and implemented them as photorealistic 3D renderings.
The entire application combines easy-to-understand infographics with high-quality visual content and relies on state-of-the-art web technologies that can be run on all digital devices – first and foremost the iPad.
View from every angle
For the interactive presentation of the train, the rails and cities we used a browser technology called WebGL. It visualizes complex objects in 3D and allows you to take a view from every angle on any device.
The native apps of many OS vendors, their app stores and devices have long been considered the holy grail of interactivity. However, so-called progressive web apps (PWA) are rapidly outpacing them, as they have significant advantages – they are inherently cross-platform and easy to maintain, to name just two.
The future of apps is not an app
Complexity needs agility
Projects of this depth and volume require a structured, but most of all agile workflow. While defining the status quo and final result, discussing the budget and developing content and prototypes all at the same time, seamless cooperation between the agency and the customer must be guaranteed to achieve an optimal result in terms of budget and timing.
